EQ3-2 mount and which imaging t'scope?

Recommended Posts

For planetary imaging you could use something like a 127 Mak.  For DSO imaging however I'd not suggest anything heavier than a camera and lens.  You may find that an ST80 or ST102 would work with a DSLR, but those telescopes are not particularly well-corrected so you can't guarantee that you won't end up with a certain amount of colour aberration.  It's not a certainty and I've seen some quite respectable images from stan26 using an ST102 on an EQ3-2, but he did work pretty hard at it.
