Backyard eos 350d help

Hi I am trying to use my 350d on backyard eos now I bought a serial control cable from astromiser and I've got a serial to USB adaptor but anytime I try to start taking photos on backyard eos it says that I need a serial control cable I have the camera set to m so is there any other settings on backyard eos or my camera I need to change thanks

I don't think all serial to usb cables work. I bought the cheapie type and couldn't get it to work. I spent a tenner on one from Amazon and that worked fine. You need to install drivers for these cables to work as well.
