Clear skies this evening so finally had a chance to test my new improved equatorial platform. Conditions were far from perfect due to high winds but it seemed to track quite well. I have a few more tweaks in mind but I'm starting to wonder if I could use this setup together with my Canon DSLR to do some basic astrophotography on DSOs such as M13. I'd welcome any views on this.
