I have been perusing the PGR website .. some fantastic cams on there... nice sized chips and 24 bit output.. . dont think I want to register to get a price....

As for the SD card route... there are several potential bottleknecks but it has got to be worth a try.. I use USB3 readers with fast cards and they are quite nippy...

24-bits! I can't imagine that much data even being useful?! I was skeptical that 8-bits was enough, and sure enough, there is not much room for stretching the darks out of a stack. I will try 12-bit on the Cham when FPS isn't an issue.

I've got a 16GB Class 10 card so will give it a go.
