Image Shift-Change Out Focusers?

Does this effect the quality of viewing? Or just an annoyance.

I have an older R&P on my Orion scope. It has been finely adjusted,disassembled and regressed. These R&P's have gotten poor reviews. Orion changed them out in favor of a Crayford style.

A laser point can be in the donut center and easy pops out when the rack is moved. The stars in the eyepiece move/jerk when fine focusing. The eyepieces are centered in the drawtube securly.

Should I go with an Orion Crayford style focuser $$$.

Most of my eyepieces are wide angle in the 10" 4.7 scope. Thanks, Pat
