First light with Livecam!!

Recommended Posts

Well I managed to get some shots with the new web cam, everything seems ok, but has made me think of a few different questions. anyway this is what I managed with out the LX mode taking a AVI of Vega.vega.bmp which until I looked a bit harder at the image and asked my self is my secondary out of alignment after only recently collimating it, as iam still really new to all this stuff?

I'm not good at determining collimation error from an image. But the star somehow does look a bit uneven. But it might just as well just be the image compression, that the camera wasn't 100% flat onto the focuser, or mirror/scope/focuser flex.

I think the best way to determin of it's out of collimation is to take a pic out of focus to check if the rings around the "center star" is evenly round.
