That Seben Zoom Eyepiece

Hi

Can anyone tell me if the Seben 8-24mm zoom eyepiece is actually any good, specifically when paired with a Skywatcher 127 mak (f11.8)?

I've just impulse purchased one of these from eBay for a smidge under £30 delivered which seemed a pretty good buy to me.

I suppose if it's terrible I can just bung it back on the bay.

I did turn up that thread on a search but all the reviews were based upon use with big dobs rather than little maks, but I understand that slow scopes are generally more forgiving on eyepieces anyway.

Guess I just want reassuring that I haven't bought a £30 paperweight, but it looks like I've done OK.

I think you will find it great value and work well at the focal length. I use one on a daily basis for solar obs. The Seben badge might just save it from getting stolen one day.
