Tried viewing mars last night (10/12/07) at around 10am.

It had good altitude but the image was very poor. It was a combination of poor seeing and the SCT just could not cool down at the same rate as the rapidly dropping ambient temperatures - Mars was a boiling mess. :embarassed:

Had a look at the Orion nebula instead - that was great, the wife was impressed too.

It was nice to get back into the warmth indoors - I think I need an observatory. :icon_jokercolor:
