Webcam...... longer exposures?

Hi all

Although I have seen numerous videos and write-ups on ccd webcam modifications,

Does anybody know? ... if there is a programme that can help a ccd webcam take longer exposures. Or, does it have to be physically changed (wired) to do so?

There's the Logitech Fusion, a CMOS camera which Gary Honis says can take up to 10 second exposures with third party software. There could be others but that's the only one I know about. If you're nervous about doing the LX mod, it's a little scary but really not so bad as long as you're careful.
