Two Saturns 26/05/2013

I was out on the 25th and 26th trying to get a decent Saturn for the first time this year. The seeing on 25th was rubbish - high thin cloud so I eventually gave up and the images I processed the next morning weren't worth anything.

Last night was much better, no high cloud and more stability, it was obvious as soon as I put the 15mm eyepiece in that it was going to be better.

Both images captured using a Philips SPC900, 3x TAL Barlow on a Skywatcher 250px Flextube Goto Dob. Each capture was 1800 frames at 10FPS processed in Registax using Dyadic wavelets.

For the second image I added in the barrel of a 2x Barlow (with the lens removed) to give a bit more focal length - I think that makes it f28.
