Anybody have a Meade LX200 8"?

Hi folks, Meade seems a bit sparse on SGL - anyone have the 8" LX200?

Hi there

I have an 8" Meade LX200GPS, which is about 8 years old, so not quite the current model - i.e. it's pre-ACF.

I've been using it on a wedge, but lately have been finding it increasingly difficult to lift the scope-&-forks up onto the wedge, so have decided to de-fork the OTA and remount it on a GEM.

Apart from the Autostar handset, which I replaced last year when it died, it's been a pretty reliable setup, and I've been very pleased with the optical performance.
