you mean you had both Barlows going? If you are using 950/1150 frames then you are adding a lot of the not-so-good ones. Why not try the best 300, the best 100 or the best 30?

Yes, for 10 minutes or so the seeing improved and I managed to image with the x2 and x4 stacked.

Before and after those few minutes, all the captures I took that night ranged from less than average to rubbish.

I've tried using less frames but the image looks a lot harsher when tweaking the wavelets. To be honest, I think very nearly all 1150 frames are on a par with each other. Never had that before. :shock:
