CG5 GT goto for imaging

Just wondering what the cg5 gt would be like for imaging with an 80mm apo or 6 inch newt?

also am I correct in thinking its not compatible with eqmod?

would it cope with an 80 mm apo, finder guider, and an atik camera?

Or is an HEQ5 more than worth the extra outlay? I'm looking at a second hand cg5 so would be a saving of 300 over an heq5.

Plenty of people use them on cloudy nights for imaging and plenty of people over here have used them but by all accounts the heq5 is night and day different in its ease of use and reliability. You have met imagers and seen how much they spend on their equipment do you seriously think they would pay the extra if it wasn't needful? How many of them bought you a pint at sgl8? I forgot to add I didn't get you a pint because i am tight not broke like the imagers
