Skysafari skyfi lead connections

Hi all, I am running skyfi via my skysafari pro on my iPad to control my synscan on my heq5 and it all works a treat, my only bug is that I'd like to remove the 9 pin db connector and just have a cable with an rj45 at each end, one to fit the skyfi unit the other end to the synscan handset.

Has anyone done this and if so do you have a diagram for the connection at each end. If not, can anyone recall the name of the guy in the UK who makes leads. Thank you.

I have done that but with a Vixen SS2K mount - I made my own. The pinout for the SkySafari port is available online here: http://www.southernstars.com/products/skyfi/serial.html and the SS2K is also easily available online - I imagine the synscan is too.

Alternatively, you could always get a ready-made cable from the good guys at Astronomiser here: http://www.astronomiser.co.uk/mcc.htm

Cheers,

Colin
