Shutter motorisation

I have a Pulsar 2.7m dome and was wondering if anyone else had motorised the shutter opening/closing?

Not yet, but it's next on my to-do list for my 2.2m dome. I know how I'm going to do it but haven't had the time yet. I considered lifting the shutter as it is done manually however its very heavy even for the 2.2m and adding counterweights etc. just made it too complex. I'm going to split the shutter in half along its length and open the two halves sideways using linear actuators made from a motor and screwthread. I need to draw up the solution anyway so if you give me a day or so I'll post some drawings.
