The "37" Cluster - NGC 2169

NGC 2169 in the constellation of Orion. This open cluster of stars is 3600ly from Earth and is commonly called "The 37 Cluster" - can you see why? :D

This image was shot through thin cloud and a mist that was determined to freeze hard to my scope and general equipment.

Technical details:

Meade LX90 8" with Orion Broadband LP Filter and a Nikon D300.

20 x 60s @ ISO 1600 Lights

10 x 60s @ ISO 1600 Darks

10 x Flats

Oh and FIRST DSO of 2013! All I've managed thanks to weather and work before this was a few fleeting videos of Saturn!
