LP filters

Hi All

So with the last few meager imaging sessions i have had I am coming to the decision that light pollution has increased in my area.

With this said can anyone suggest the best LP filter for deep sky imaging. I seem to be finding that any object of Mag 10 and higher(lower??) darker basically and the back ground noise starts to be a real problem.

Is there a way to remove this so i can get deeper or am I dreaming.

What about a set of narrowband filters?

i have Ha already, is that all i need really. just the full set and then use those for red/green/blue?

How about a Hutech IDAS filter? I have just started using one of those instead of a luminance filter - Or you can put it in the imaging train and shoot LRGB through it.

Have a search on the forum for Hubble Pallette/narrowband/ Ha, OIII, SII images and that should give you a flavour of what to expect. I've not tried it myself but from what I've seen it looks quite impressive!
