Basingstoke Astronomy society members ?

Hello,

Any members of this society here? I am not at the moment but I am an amateur astronomer in Basingstoke. There isnt a social group on here for it so Im just posting in the astro lounge.

Anyway every month there is a column in the Kempshott Courier from the society. I have just read the february edition and it is wrong.

It is clearly not a misprint as they have mentioned last month being january and february's meetings etc however:

'Mars is visible this month between gemini and leo'...'it is well placed for observations throughout the night'

'Jupiter is not visible this month'

Theyve got some right but the lunar phases completely wrong also.

No contact details on the column at all whatsoever so I am posting in the hope that stargazerslounge is home to its members.
