Yes the star sense looks a very interesting piece of kit and I'm sure it would speed up alignment a lot. However I think you're right to hold off until all the bugs have been ironed out before taking the plunge. At the moment I'm content to just use the normal alignment methods, but I'll be keeping a close eye on it just in case.
