Synscan communication cable?

Hi all. I wonder if someone can help me. I want to update the firmware on my Skywatcher Synscan. The problem I have is that non of my puters has a socket for the RS-232C lead. Does anyone know if there is an adapter I can buy for this?

Hi,

You can use a USB to serial (RS-232) adapter, they are available from several places and that will do the trick. If the software to do the upgrade can only use COM1 or COM2, just make sure you install the USB serial port in COM1.
