early morning surprise

Last night i saw Mars for the first time at about 12 in my small scope. Unfortunately not as spectacular as Jupitar or Saturn although i was expecting that. However, due to a bad nights sleep i got up at 6:30am and had a look outside. Saw a really bright star in the east that at first i thought was Mars. Looking through the scope i realised it was Venus. Went to my computer and found out it was Venus with Saturn just above it!..and even better Mars directly above me. Was chuffed to have seen three planets in one go...and just before sunrise! Shame i can never normally get out of bed in the morning

good stuff! I still have to see that early morning spectacle. Tomorrow morning looks good.
