Dark nebulae

Recommended Posts

The best time for observing dark nebulae is during the summer when our view of our galaxy is towards the center where most dark matter obscures all other objects. At this time of the year, try scanning the Milky Way with low power or with binocular. Some of the larger dark nebulae may be detected if your skies are fairly dark and the MW is obvious in the sky. The link below will show the view of the night sky with the MW (in blue) at 9PM local time.
