Mr Q Posted December 12, 2012 Share Posted December 12, 2012 The best time for observing dark nebulae is during the summer when our view of our galaxy is towards the center where most dark matter obscures all other objects. At this time of the year, try scanning the Milky Way with low power or with binocular. Some of the larger dark nebulae may be detected if your skies are fairly dark and the MW is obvious in the sky.
