Not wanting to address the issues of dealing with Andromeda's core (and not being to get the whole thing on the chip anyway) I thought I'd just do M32.

thanks for that, I've actually been playing with it a bit more today (off work, devil makes use of idle...etc.) and brought out some more contrast and colour, but I've gotta get out of the habit of posting dozens of versions of pix until I get the final version. maybe even get some more data tonight anyway....
