Using Synguider under urban sky

Hello. I want to start using narrowband filters and Astrophotography in urban area. But a big question for me is whether my Auto guider, the Synguider can detect a not very bright star under heavy light pollution or not? If i want to take photos of a nebula which there is not a bright star near it, probably it will be a big problem for me.

It'll pick and lock on stars down to mag 8 or 9 no problem , I use a 70mm guidescope in guide-rings with mine which gives loads of adjustment and has not let me down yet .

You should be able to find a guide star OK unless you have extremely bad LP.

Never needed to try it , but you could put a LP filter in before the Synguider to help it if the sky is too polluted as the adapter is threaded.

Steve.
