Quick go at Uranus with QHY5

Recommended Posts

Had a quick go and producing a corrected Uranus spectrum a few days ago. The intention being to divide the raw profile by a G2V star for correction purposes.

Unfortunately, I discovered afterwards that Matar is a G2 II + F0 V and not a G2V as I thought. Dohh

Anyway, result seems in the ballpark. Perhaps someone else can have a go with a true G2V?

Thanks for looking

Nice deep profile John. I was going to try Robin`s suggestion of dividing the profile of 44 Psc not a G2V star but maybe close enough taken the same night as my Uranus profile but it came out a bit too dim!
