stupid idea No32752

I am in the process of demounting my old nexstar 5 it occurs to me that at the bottom of this I have a rather powerful ra. drive with a little luck and a bit of remounting I could make myself a barndoor rather like the polarie but big enough to put a small scope and camera on. Anybody done something similar or is this another stupid idea. I have to confess this is more of a concept at the moment than any definite plan. Ideas anyone?
