Skymax 150 pro eyepiece

Sorry missed you second question. Your scope has a focal length of 1800mm and an objective of 150mm, giving F12. The 28mm EP produces a 64x magnification (scope focal length of 1800 divided by 28mm focal length of EP). Assuming the EP does have a AFOV of 55o it will produce an actual field of 0.85o in your scope. Calculating this is very simple. Divide the AFOV by the magnification (so 55/64) to get the field. If you use a 2x barlow, it will double the magnification =128x, and the field is calculated in the same way. So 55/128 = 0.42o. As you can see, halves the field.

Clear skies,

Matthew
