An early morning start. Clear sky. Venus rising nice and high into the eastern sky. Seeing was challenging, varying between AIV and AIII. Got this sketch:

8.5" x173 magnification

Neodymium & Violet filters

Gibbous phase now very obvious. Terminator seemed to bend a fair amount towards the poles, especially in the north. Brighter areas seen over both polar regions, although not as pronounced as on other occasions. Some vague low contrast cloud detail seen. Difficult to pin down with the seeing. Overall impression was a a sort of 'puffiness' to the lit side.
