I bought one of those Vixens from David Hinds in 1997. It was painted black with a Celestron label stuck on it but it was a rebranded Vixen and a very good performer. I once tested it alongside an early Evostar 120 and the Vixen performed better on faint DSOs despite the smaller aperture. The 120 was slightly better on planetary detail. The type of outfit on eBay sold for about £1,500 when it was first imported to the UK in the early 1990s.
