Just a quick heads up for this interesting BBC programme which is currently on iPlayer here, though it is only available to view till this Friday (29th June). It's a documentary by George Carey about the factors that led up to the formation of the Russian space program which is really interesting and in particular, the reason why space exploration was so important to them compared to the quite different objectives of the Americans. Apologies if this has been flagged up before but it is still worth a reminder if you didn't catch this when it was first aired on the fiftieth anniversary of Yuri Gagarin's flight in to space in April 2011.
