Triped Choices

Hi All

I have a Skywatcher 200 8" Dob and I am trying to find out the tripod options that I can use with it and I am getting rather confused. There are quite a few on the market and they seem to range from reasonably cheap £180 to mega expensive.

One that caught my eye was the EQ3-2 Deluxe.

Does anyone know which tripod are compatible with this scope?

An EQ5/CG5 would be your best bet for your dob. Don't forget to budget for a dovetail and tube rings!

As Tony says the CG5 (new style) would be a good starting point. A lot of people are buying Advanced Series Celestron's because it works out cheaper than a tube only. They then ditch the CG5 to recover some cost. The market has been littered with them lately and they go for very little. Like this one:
