Using PHD in APT

Good evening all,

Just out of interest I am struggling to find a way to get PHD guiding software to be detected in APT. PHD seems to work fine along with the Canon EOS utility program so I can take guided exposures, but I wanted to try using APT as an all-in-one software solution.

The problem is that I seem to consistently get a 'PHD software not found' message. It detects my Canon 1100D without any problem but not the guiding software, even when it is open and running in the background.

Any suggestions would be appreciated?

Regards and thanks in advance

I don't think APT nor BYE are all in one solutions as you suggest.

The integration comes from APT or BYE issuing dithering commands to PHD (which is running separately and handling the guiding) when you turn the server/dither option on in PHD.

I stand to be corrected ;)
