telescopes and laptops?

sorry if this sounds daft but what can i do with a telescope and a laptop?.can i see what the telescope is pointing at on the laptop screen?. Thanks for any advice

I think what you would be looking for would be a Mintron or Watec camera that attaches to the focuser and you can view on a TV screen.

Depends what you mean by see really. If you want to see live images through the 'scope, then the Mintron or Watec are the way to go. If you just want to see what you should be able to see if you look through the 'scope, then Starry Night is what I use. Starry Night can "talk" to the goto mount and show on screen what ought to be where the 'scope is pointed.

thanks for the replys,telescopes and laptops does seem like an interesting combination and its definately something i will take an interest in at some point.
