Good observing sites in Berkshire/Oxfordshire?

Does anyone know of any dark sky sites near the Berkshire/Oxfordshire border? Have had a look on the Dark Sky Discovery site, but the whole area looks remarkably blank!

I once tried the car park at the Wittenham clumps, but it was very busy. I've heard the car park up at the White Horse can be better, though. Not been, though.

The quietest spot I've observed at is on a side road next to a field just south of Britwell Salome: 51.624454,-1.017882 However, the dark sky chart suggests you'll get darker conditions if you head north of Oxford.

Thanks - I think I heard that the Abingdon Astro Soc observe at Britwell Salome, so that definitely sounds worth a try. Seems a long way from New York to Britwell Salome, though - you must be a very dedicated observer!
