Firts attempt at imaging...Saturn

Last week after the beautiful, big, bright moon settled and didn't rise till late, I decided to try out my Philips SPC880 web cam attached to my second hand Celestron Astromaster 130.

I located Saturn, played with cam settings and, this is the result:

I've not tried this type of thing before, other than photos of the moon on 35mm film through an 80mm refractor and, while I'm aware of the fact it's nothing like what I see here, I'm still happy with the results for a first ever attempt.

Unfortunately, it will be a while before I get to play again, it only reached a high outside of 4C all day, and well below zero at night....

It's going to be a cold, cold winter me thinks!
