The Sun, 12-05-2012; Taken in Cork (Ireland).

Equipment used:

- Nikon D3100

- Sigma 70-300mm telezoom lens

- Baader AstroSolar Filter

Settings:

- Single shot, handheld

- 1/160 shutter speed

- Stopped down to F/20

- Focus to set to infinite

- Tweaked through Adobe Lightroom

These are also my first "serious" pictures of the sun, as my previous ones were taken with a welding glass and a bridge camera.

Any comment / suggestion?

You have caught a few large dust-bunnies on there! It must be difficult to attempt this sort of thing hand held - so very well done!
