What scope should I go for

I Have an Sky watcher explorer 130p (great scope) But I am wanting a scope with a sync scan goto next and want some advice and what the cost would be as I don't have a lot of money as I am disabled therefore can't work so I would be on a budget.

If you are happy with the scope you could just get a Goto mount for it. They are around £225 new for the Skywatcher but you could probably find a second hand one for less.

I only paid £219 for the scope it does have a motorised mount but it is only the basic one with the small controller.

At this end of the market most of the cost is in the mount. The 130P AZ GOTO is £290 complete but the mount on it's own is £225. You have a similar scope to the one that would come with the complete package already. You might be able to sell the motorised mount to recoup part of the cost??

Ye I have thought of that I should have got the £290 one at 1st but was not sure if i would enjoy the hobby and did not really want to complecate things with more electronics and the lady in the shop had said as I am new to the hobby i would be better learning with the manual one and finding my own way around the sky I would learn more that way.

Thanks for your help I will look out for a good second hand scope up from the one I have.
