M83 - too low to image?

I'm just wondering if it's worth a try to image it?

What issues can be expected?

Depending on your location you can always give it a crack with a couple of subs to check the quality of them. You may suffer in the blue throught the thicker atmosphere.

I think the time is better spent on other targets though regardless - unless you feel a holiday coming up for going south:glasses1:. For us northeners M83 peaks really low in alt, so all other hours are going to be even worse. You'd be much better off at a target you can follow the whole night - or the best part of it.

Try a search for it here on SGL and check the location of people who gave it a go.
