20 mins of clear last night

A break in the clouds revealed a nice moon And Venus so I set up in no time.

Stuck the dslr on the Mak and done a b mask focus on a star (bit small too focus) but I think I got the lines where they should be.

I took a series of unguided moon images while the moon moved across the view finder.

Clouds moved in so I uploaded my moon images to my pc. Must admit they are a bit soft but I'm guessing most peoples are before processing.

At that point I realised registax is a complicated piece of software and will need a lot of time to learn.

One question, is there a tutorial for just stacking images on registax out there ?

Cheers for that, seems though you were doing a avi is it still same process for multiple single images where the moon is moved a bit on. Every shot ?

Plus I will be using version 5 as 6 keeps freezing up
