Sharpcap and QHY5

Hello me again,

What do you set your camera settings to when using a qhy5 with sharpcap, the qhy5 doesnt come up in th elist of cameras.

To be honest I've never managed to get Sharpcap to work with my QHY5, having to use the QVideo application from the QHY website.

QHY5* ASCOM drivers for some reason doesn't want to work correctly with ShapCap and Nebulosity (and other apps?). The only seems to work with guiding apps

QGVideo is available but it also can get some problems (like the GUI freezes during capture in my case on Win7).

Shame that, I actually like using sharpcap i may try some of the others to see if they ar eany good, watch this space.

I think it must be some codec issue, or interlacing of the video stream as often you seem to get four bands that have the same image in.... Would love the issue to be sorted so it would work with Sharpcap

Maybe if we bug QHY team more: Could you check QHY5* ASCOM Drivers? it will be fixed or resolved.

I hope they get that sorted. I would love to use my QHY5 with Sharpcap. QGvideo is okay for lunar stuff but I would like to use my guide cam as a solar imager with Baader solar film but with QGvideo you can't turn it down low enough to stop it saturating.

Edit: Registration stuff all filled in, just waiting for activation.
