Can looking at the sun damage my scope?

I have a skywatcher skyliner 150p, if i were to use a webcam to look at the sun it wouldn't damage my scope would it?

If you use a full aperture Solar Filter over the mouth of the tube, you will be OK. On no account, try this without a filter screen in place, otherwise the focused sun will destroy your webcam.

Mke sure the filter is an approved make too, and very securely attached to your OTA.
