First Post, first question

Recommended Posts

Hi Everyone!!

Fairly new to stargazing. Have been having a good look around over recent months and really enjoyed it. I have been surprised how quickly my knowledge has built up.

I have taken the plunge and ordered a pair of Celestron Sky Master 15 x 70 Binoculars and a tripod. My question is will I be able to see the rings of Saturn with these binoculars? It is fairly dark where I am.

Thanks,

Simon

I managed to see them with a pair of cheap 16x50s bracing my elbows on a window sill so it is possible but the seeing conditions will make a difference. I would say possible as I haven't looked for them through bins in a while.
