HEQ5 - EQDIR adapter needed or not ?

Dear SGLers,

I'm about to upgrade to a HEQ5-Pro mount.

I already have a GPUSB adapter to send guide signals to my EQ3-2.

I'm assuming I can plug this directly into the mount and guide via PHD.

I see EQDIR adapters too, will I need one of these too ? or will the GPUSB suffice for guiding ?

You only need the EQDir module if you intend to use EQMOD to control your mount through a planetarium program.

Connecting your guide camera, as usual, to the ST4 port on the mount will give you guiding.
