Every time I attempt a planetary image, it makes me glad I opted for deep sky kit! I find it easier to take 30 minute exposures with a 2.5m scope than get a decent planetary image :)

Anyway, here's what venus looked like to my camcorder + Hyperion zoom EP + MN190 the other night.

What I like about this technique is that it is possible to see in live view what the final image will look like, and it makes showing others a doddle. I invited my neighbour round, an we looked at Mars and Saturn on the screen too, before switching to proper eyepiece looking ;)
