Tracking & Scope Advice for newb

Hi All,

I have a eq5, a dslr camera (getting rid of my 8" newt because of size) and would like to take some widefield shots before I can afford a decent but more portable scope (considering 80mm refractor).

What accessories are required to connect my dslr to mount?

Will RA motor be sufficient for tracking or should I look for goto for eq5?

If RA motor sufficient can guidescope be used in conjunction or will this require goto/different mount?

Advice on scope greatly appreciated (portability is key)

Sorry for newb questions but I'm keen to have a crack at photos and despite still being keen after a year I have just found my newt to much of a logistical nightmare to use even semi-regulary

Gonna be keeping an eye on this thread as I to would like to know.

I know you will need the approppiate t ring and adapter for your brand of dslr but that's as far as my knowledge goes!

You will need an adaptor to fit the dovetail bracket to your camera.

I assume you'll be using your DSLR lenses for wide field shots of constellations?
