Messier advice for tonight.

Recommended Posts

Well fingers crossed tonight looks like a good one,so if it's clear this will be my second night of viewing.

I've collected a couple more x-cel lx eyepieces so I'm looking forward to trying them out.

So I was wondering if anyone could recommend some messiers that will look good and are easy to find?

Danny.

M34 (5 degrees from Algol in Perseus), M35 (near "foot" of Gemini), M42, M43 (in "sword" of Orion). A little harder to spot initially in light polluted areas, but well worth the effort, are the open clusters of M36, M37 and M38 in Auriga.

That's a few to get you started. :)
