I've been trying to take some LRGB images of Mars. My question is, should I have the exposure time for each filter the same?. In particular should the L exposure be the same as the colour filters?. Trouble is, the L is too bright if I use the same exposure time that I use for the others as I have to increase the exposure and gain in order to get anything - especially with the blue filter.
