Almost decided on a scope

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

Sorry to be asking again but I have almost made my decision on my scope, celestron nexstar 4se.

Reasons:

Portability

Easy to setup - time wise

Camera mount for a dabble in planetary imaging (for fun not serious)

Sturdy tripod/mount

And in my budget

So with the above reasons is there anything else out there that will fit the bill ? I know you will probably say the Mak 127 but after reading that the mount/tripod is less than good I ruled it out.

Please let me know.

Paul

Hi Paul, I have posted on your other thread about the 4se vs 127 slt. Have you considered using a webcam or are you wanting to use an slr? Obviously if it is an slr then the better tripod that comes with the 4 se would be the preffered option. If however you are considering using a webcam then by getting the 127slt you are getting a crucial 1" extra apeture.
