have i got the right lens and eyepiece for my telescope or could i get better ones p

hello im new to all this i just got a telescope off my brother its a skywatcher d=150 f=750 coated optics it has a super 25 wide angle long eye relif eyepiece and a barlow x2 lens are they the best for my scope or could i get better ones the image is a bit small can i do anything to make it bigger im sorry if it sounds stupid i know im not going to get images like you see on tv but any help would be grateful thank you

welcome to sgl. there are plenty of better eyepieces than the stock ones that come with scopes. Have a read of the eyepiece sticky to get some basic info on eyepieces and selection and then ask again if you have had no hits on this question sometimes very general questions get left alone.

Hi Kipstar and another welcome to SGL.

General comments about Skywatcher eyepieces are the 25mm is fine. The 10mm is often seen as poor - but this is missing from your kit. The barlow gets mediocre comments. But a decent (example TAL) barlow is not that expensive from FLO.

Generally Skywatcher reflectors are good general use scopes. Yours may well benefit from collimation, when you try higher magnification. That no doubt leads on to another question - but there are threads on SGL about collimation.
