Looking into it.

Recommended Posts

Hi everybody.

I have a standard fuji fine pix digital camera, and was wondering if this can be 'adapted' in any way to take pics through my scope. I'm very new to the whole astronomy game, and have virtually no knowledege of photography (or spelling either apparently).

It would be nice to be able to take some pics when out viewing, but not sure what to do.

I've got plenty of time to look into it and compare/try out different things, but just need somewhere to start.

Thanks in advance for any info.....

Afocal astrophotography is the term you are looking for. This is a camera with lens pointing through the eyepiece of a telescope. You can by adapters which enable the camera to be held securely in place.
